Review : Too many defects
As long as there is a full image on the screen and it's not a dark scene, the picture is great. Unfortunately however in dark scenes this display's flaws are exposed. First you will see annoying light leakage from the corners and some of the sides, in my case from the top.

Also, there are blotches of cloudy spots on the screen which are viewable anytime the screen goes dark (while still powered on), the spots can also be seen when a darker image is on the screen. In addition, when I watch blurays, where the picture meets the black bars at the top and bottom is a bright band of light running horizontally. It's very distracting.

Needless to say this tv is going back to amzn. You really do get what you pay for unfortunately.

Review : Good "smart" HDTV
This was not only my first HDTV purchase ever, but my first TV purchase, period. I'd managed to live with hand-me-down and garage-sale TVs up til now, but I decided I wanted something nice for a change. I don't subscribe to cable or satellite television, so I wanted something that had some built-in "smart" capabilities. I also wanted something that wasn't going to break the bank. I really dislike 3D content, so I decidedly did NOT want a 3D TV. Finding a nice TV that has smart features and *isn't* 3D is getting harder and harder. For the most part, this TV has fit the bill, and I've been happy with my purchase.

I thought about putting together a list of pros and cons, but that didn't really seem to work too well with this particular review, so I've listed some general notes below:

Review : Nice to look at...painful to listen to...doesn't last long (UPDATE)
I bought the Coby LEDTV2326 after researching affordable tvs to replace a failing Audiovox LCD TV/DVD combo I've had in my kitchen for six years. It gets a lot of use, as the kitchen is the hub of our house. I decided to forego the built-in DVD player, as convenient as it has been, because I wanted to keep the price down, and I have two extra DVD players just collecting dust in the basement. One sits atop the fridge now.

Upon unboxing, I was impressed with the thin, sleek build of the Coby. Five minutes later it was hooked up and searching for channels...it's that easy. I have it connected to standard cable, so it found the expected 58 or so SD channels. I was surprised to see that it also found 45 HD channels...I expected some, thanks to its QAM tuner, but not nearly that many. Bonus.

HD picture quality is beautiful. I can't say anything more.

I bought this item a few days ago after doing a multitude of research on flat screen TV's. Frankly, I was ready to be done! Our focus was finding a TV with an external width no larger than 37 5/8". We were faced with a limited selection of 37" TV's or some barely close 40" TV's. The 40" TV's that we had to choose from were LED and cost roughly $1000 or more. Rather than being faced with a close fit of an expensive TV, we decided 37" would suffice. Then we were caught between buying a Samsung or a Sony and whether to get LED or LCD. Review : Sound quality is laughable.
THE TV.
I completely agree with the review left by Steve P. Moss. I love the picture. Very sharp and vibrant. I haven't given it a 1080p test but I'm not sure how important it is on a 24". I love the thinness and the overall look of the set. along with a digital out it has an analog out (red and white) which I guess is hard to come by these days.

THE SOUND.
I thought something was wrong when I first turned it on. It seems that the new and thinner sets are going lack quality. I guess there isn't room to add quality speakers (so they say). And no headphone jack is a bummer. Seems like a bedroom TV so why not add it. I'm still going to give this TV a shot but if I can't fix the sound, I'll return it also. Review : 5 Stars Revised to 1 (60 inch screen review)
This TV is absolutely incredible. I got the 60 inch and bought direct from Samsung's website as I had a discount. I love the design of the actual TV, it's base is sharp looking and the TV and bezel are so thin it's going to look amazing mounted on my stone wall. The resolution and black levels are amazing. When I first saw the motion control demonstrated at Fry's when they first got them in, it looked completely unresponsive, but after getting mine, I now know why that was. The room has to be bright. They were demonstrating it in a very dim room. It doesn't see your hand movement completely if it's dark. It is totally responsive and much more fluid than I originally thought. Honestly speaking it's REALLY cool, but I doubt I'll end up using it that much, maybe for my fantasy football app during football season or when I can't find the remote and I want to turn the volume up. yes the sound is bad. Kinda sounds like our phone answering machine. I think I'm gonna buy pc speakers for the set. I love the picture. We have a 37" sony and the sound is bad on it also. I think just about all these companies are installing shoddy speaker components.

As a grandmother who is not as technologically advanced as the younger generation, I did have concerns about buying a television that had to be programmed and the stand installed before using.
